Acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell just revealed to Americans who will be playing the role of “shadow president” during Joe Biden’s stay at the White House, and it’s not who you think it is.
During the long months of last year’s presidential campaign, as Biden’s mental decline became more obvious, people from the left and the right have speculated that his running mate Kamala Harris would be the de facto president should he win.
And now that he’s won, Grenell says that we should keep our eyes on Susan Rice, instead of Harris.
Susan Rice, the lady who appeared on multiple morning shows after the Benghazi crisis so she could repeatedly lie that the American embassy’s attack — which resulted in five deaths including the U.S. ambassador, Christopher Stevens — was a “spontaneous” reaction to a video, is back. Apparently, she might be in charge.
During Grenell’s appearance on Sunday Morning Futures, he spoke out about how former Obama National Security Adviser Susan Rice was tasked to lead the White House Domestic Policy Council in the Biden administration.
“I think you need to watch Susan Rice very closely,” Grenell said. “She will be the shadow president.”
Grenell called Biden’s pick “interesting” because Rice has no experience in domestic policy. However, he claims that Rice will nonetheless be “incredibly influential” under the new administration.
“I think the reality is, she’s going to be running foreign policy, domestic policy,” he said. “She’s probably delighted that Kamala Harris is going to be preoccupied with the Senate… and won’t have a lot of time to get into policy issues.”
He then went on to say that the Democrats chose Biden over Bernie Sanders because they knew he could be manipulated.
“We saw him [Bernie Sanders] raise his hand during the Democratic primary for some really radical ideas,” he said. “The progressives have clearly taken over him… And Susan Rice being right there at the White House to be the shadow president is probably exactly where she wants to be.”
