Dallas Mavericks owner clashes with a Republican Senator after the latter mocked the epic fall out of the NBA finals game.
As ratings of NBA finals take a downturn, Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas took to twitter his mockery based on the highly politicized sport.
A tweetstorm brewed between the two for all the world to see.
Sen. Cruz wrote that this is his first time not watching a single game in the NBA Finals, with the hashtag #GoWokeGoBroke.
Mark Cuban took offense and lashed out at the senator.
“A US Senator with 3 @NBA teams in his state, employing thousands of people and he is rooting for their businesses to do poorly,” Cuban tweeted.
“This is who you are @tedcruz. Every minute of your life, this is exactly who you are,” he continued.
Sen. Cruz fired back at the billionaire who has been a personal critic. He said he loves Houston Rockets and happily cheers for the San Antonio Spurs & Dallas Mavericks when competing with any non-Texan team.
However, he pointed the NBA to be engaged in a united effort to insult fans and turn every game into a leftist political lecture.
“That’s dumb,” he added.
Cuban, not willing to back down, tossed expletive in his retort.
“You are so full of s**t,” he began. Cuban argued how Cruz could know what could’ve said or done if he hasn’t watched a single game of the finals.
He blasted rhetoric of ending racism as never political or an insult to anyone. Cuban then asked the senator of using #GetWokeGoBroke as a partisan insult.
Cruz tries to stand his guard, reminding Cuban could not criticize the Communist Chinese government’s partnering with the National Basketball Association.
“I wish @mcuban loved his fans as much as he loves Chinese money,” Cruz tweeted.
“Shame on me for putting American Civil Rights and Justice, creating jobs, growing our economy and healthcare reform over twitter proclamations,” the billionaire replied.
