The left always tells us that ballot tampering and election fraud does not happen. But once they are confronted and presented with an example of it happening, they then tell us that it rarely happens. When will they admit that it does happen and that it happens more than they and we think?

In Michigan, a Democrat has been charged with election fraud and ballot tampering. How will they get out of this now?

According to the National Review, city clerk for Southfield Michigan, Sherikia Hawkins, has been charged with six felony counts for allegedly altering absentee ballots during the election in November 2018.

Hawkins is a registered Democrat. She was arraigned on Monday in Southfield for falsifying returns or records, forgery of a public record, misconduct in the office, and multiple counts of using a computer to commit a crime.

She was released on a $15,000 bond.

The article by the National Review stated:

The alleged misconduct was discovered after the Oakland County Clerk’s Office noticed that 193 voter files had been changed to reflect that the voters failed to include a valid signature or return date when all of the implicated voters had, in fact, included both items. The county clerk’s office later discovered the original voter files in the trash at the election-division office. The Michigan State Police then launched an investigation that resulted in Hawkins’s arrest.”

As usual, fellow Democrats have her back. Attorney General Dana Nessel and Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson put out a statement, part of which said:

“Voting is fundamental to the very essence of our democracy…It is incumbent upon state governments to safeguard the electoral process and ensure that every voter’s right to cast a ballot is protected.”

At the annual Legacy Dinner of Michigan’s Democratic party in Detroit, they honored Hawkins with the prestigious Dingell/Levin award. Why?

Hawkins has also overseen 16 elections in Oakland County since 2010. Let’s just hope that Hawkins and the Democratic Party don’t get in trouble for those as well.

In 2010, Hawkins served as the Pontiac city clerk when Democrat Gary Peters won the ninth congressional district race against Republican Rocky Raczkowski. The race was extremely close — Peters won by just 6,405 votes out of a total 245, 055.

Despite how often the Democrats tell us that no election fraud or ballot tampering is happening, we know better. Now the question is, will more of them get caught doing it?
