It seems the Democrats have started to feel worried about the future regarding Joe Biden and his potential to win over Donald Trump in the coming election in November. Democrats are already pulling all the tricks out of their bag.
The first lady Michelle Obama has been quiet since leaving the White House in January, 2017.
But recently she has become very active and began pledging people to vote in the election.
In a recent video, Obama says, “The election could not be more important for the future of our country.”
According to Obama in her recent video, with everything that has been happening this year, this Election will play a highly critical role as the country’s future depends on it.
“All that good work you’ve been doing—all the outreach, the voter registration parties, the efforts to make sure no American has to choose between their health or their vote on Election Day—that work is more important than ever before,” Obama said.
Well, the fact is that this was not the first time Obama has made such a move. In a YouTube video, she addressed a graduating class of 2020 and put her effort to making the speech political — by citing the overwhelming protest across the country following the death of George Floyd.
“You deserve this celebration. Congratulations. This is an important time of transition. In light of the current state of our country, I struggle to find the right words of wisdom for you today,” Obama said.
“So I am here today to talk to you, not as the former first lady but as a real-life person, a mother, a mentor, a citizen concerned about your future and the future of our country because right now, all that superficial stuff of titles and positions, all of that has been stripped away,” she continued.
The former First Lady didn’t forget to take another dig on Trump — without actually mentioning his name — by saying, “The foundation has been shaken. Not just by a pandemic that stole too many of our loved ones, upended our daily lives and sent tens of millions into unemployment but also by the rumbling of the age-old fault lines that our country was built on, the lines of race and power that are now once again so nakedly exposed for all of us to grapple with,” she said.
She also stressed, “It’s up to you to march hand in hand with your allies, to stand peacefully with dignity and purpose on the front lines in the fight for justice.”
Right at this moment, all Mr. Biden is doing is trying to choose a running mate and he has already stated that he would be happy if Michelle Obama is that “Running Friend” for him.
“I’d take her in a heartbeat,” Biden said when asked if he would add Obama to the ticket. “She’s brilliant. She knows the way around. She is a really fine woman. The Obamas are great friends,” Biden said this in an interview back in April with CBS Pittsburgh.
A recent Pew Poll asked the voters of Trump and Biden about the motivation behind their voting choice. Were they voting for the candidates, or against the other guy? 67% of Trump voters said they were voting for Trump; 33% said they were voting against Biden. Among Biden voters, it was the reverse: 67% said they were voting against Trump, while only 33% said they were voting for Biden.
Donald Trump is fond of preparing extravagant attacks on media for spreading “Fake News.” We have already become familiar with the fact that most of the TV media houses in US are unsympathetic towards Trump in their coverage. Does that indicate that the polls they commissioned are misleading? It’s not like that. Most of the recent polls have shown Trump trailing his Democrat opponent Joe Biden by around ten points.
There is a Rasmussen poll showing a gap of just three points. On the other hand, a Quinnipiac University Poll has Biden ahead by 15 points. It is true that due to the American electoral system last time around, Trump won even though Hillary Clinton got a higher national vote share. But she was only ahead by a couple of points,” said Harry Phibbs, a writer of a very popular article published in “The Article.”
