Derek Chauvin, a former Minneapolis police officer, reportedly wrote his lawyer’s phone number on his left palm before his Tuesday conviction. He was found guilty of killing George Floyd.
TMZ confirmed that Eric Nelson, Chauvin’s lawyer, admitted that his client jotted down his number on his hand in anticipation of having his bail revoked. However, Chauvin was soon found guilty on all counts.
Chauvin is now on suicide watch in a maximum-security prison. Until his sentencing date, he will either be locked up in protective custody or serve time out of state.
He was found guilty and convicted of second-degree murder, third-degree murder, and second-degree manslaughter. Chauvin will face a maximum of 40 years in prison for the death of George Floyd on May 25, 2020.
Chauvin will face sentencing in eight weeks, which means BLM riots and “peaceful protests” will continue until then. Let’s just hope that whatever sentence Chauvin is given will be good enough for the radical leftists.
