Minnesota’s top officials have recently played the rules unfairly as they make a drastic move to restrict the size of a planned Donald Trump rally.
Reports say the maximum allowable size for the rally has been reduced to a measly 250 people. Democrat Governor Tim Walz and socialist Attorney General Keith Ellison took matters into their own hands, clearly intervening in the election.
The president has made numerous trips to the state, hoping to aid the residents since the violent riots sparked in May after George Floyd’s killing.
President Trump’s campaign originally expected 25,000 attendees. Yet, Walz and Ellison must have seen this as a huge disadvantage to the Dems that they decided to impose severe restrictions.
The two leftists have only shown another exploitation of COVID-19 as they abolish the right to the freedom of assembly.
According to Breitbart News, Attorney General Ellison pressured business owners of multiple locations.
The original venue for Trump’s rally was initially at Rochester airport. However, the attorney general’s office required a “COVID preparedness plan” from officials of Rochester City, Rochester airport, and Olmsted County. He also demanded the Republican National Committee to ensure the gathering was safe.
The event then moved to Dodge Center, which prompted Ellison’s office to require the building owner, McNeilus Steel, and President Trump’s campaign to provide a “COVID Preparedness Plan.”
Due to this, the event was again moved back to the airport.
“Thanks to the free speech-stifling dictates of Gov. Tim Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison, only the first 250 people will be admitted,” Trump’s campaign released in a statement late Thursday.
It read, “Without question, Minnesota Democrats had hoped that the President would simply cancel the event, but he will not allow partisan politicians to deprive people of their First Amendment rights to gather peacefully to hear directly from the President of the United States.”
Trump supporters expressed their outrage on social media, rightfully so. Comparisons were then made between the crowds in George Floyd protests at the height of the pandemic versus the recently released restrictions.
Attorney General Ellison openly supports Antifa with a tweet of a book honoring it.
Undoubtedly, the intent of the two Dems is to cancel Trump’s rally, but the president wouldn’t budge in their plan.
Their mounting desperation only reveals what little hope the leftists have left for their candidate. They would go to such a great length of suppressing freedom of assembly.
