Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said that there’s no reason Americans can’t vote in person for the upcoming 2020 presidential election on November 3rd. According to him, as long as the people follow the social distancing and other coronavirus related guidelines properly, they can easily vote in person.

Fauci told ABC News very recently that if the election process can be carefully done by adhering to all the coronavirus guidelines, there would no problem with the in-person election. All the people need to do are wear masks, maintain proper physical distancing, and avoid forming any sort of crowds. These are the basic and very crucial guidelines to avoid getting infected with the coronavirus.

Fauci further stated that people who have physical disability or who are not interested in going to the polls on the Election Day can choose the option of mail-in voting.

Again, Fauci repeated the statement that he finds no reason to change the in-person voting system.

In April, during the early stage of the pandemic, Fauci said that he could not guarantee that voting in person would be a safe idea.

But Fauci made his comment recently amid the mail-in voting debate between the Democrats and Republicans. President Trump and the other Republicans strongly believe that mail-in voting would cause widespread voting frauds, while the Democrats say that the practice would be a secure way to conduct the election, while avoiding another spike in coronavirus cases.

In a very recent interview with Fox Business’ Maria Bartiromo, President Trump strongly opposed the idea of mail-in ballots and said that it will be the “Greatest Fraud in History.”

There’s nothing wrong with people going out and voting for their Presidential selection for the nation, according to the President Donald Trump.

He also said that Americans even voted during times of emergency such as during World War I and World War II, but now, people should have their voter ID, because apparently the democrats have scammed the entire voting system.

Andrew Bates, the Director of Biden Campaign Rapid Response, referred to the practice of mail-in voting as a safe way to vote, considering the current situation.

Bates accused President Donald Trump of sabotaging the election system that millions of Americans have been relying on. Bates also took the reference of the US Postal Service.

The President wants to cut the necessary lifeline for the rural economy and delivery of medicine, because he wants to deprive the people of America from their fundamental right to vote in a safe and secure way during the pandemic. The President has always failed to handle the coronavirus crisis since the initial outbreak, and the situation only got worse because of him. Right now, the US is one of the hardest hit countries in the world, according to Bates.

Bates also said that Donald Trump’s own campaign supported the mail-in voting system. The President is afraid that the American people will force him to confront what he has done with his power during his term at the office. He has played the role of escapist for months, but the president should always be responsible for his own actions.

Another big problem which is associated with the mail-in voting is the long delay in the process of determining the final result of the election. Marc Elias, an election lawyer with prominent Democratic clients, said to NBC News that there is literally no chance of knowing the total result of the Michigan votes on election night.

Both Michigan and Pennsylvania have the history of counting a large number of absentee ballots. Michigan’s law always prohibits the count of absentee ballots until the polls are closed.
