On Monday night, Former vice president Joe Biden delivered a speech demanding that President Trump concede the election despite irregularities in several states and proof of election fraud has taken place.
Old Joe’s rant was televised nationally that the Electoral College had voted to move him one step closer to occupying the White House.
But instead of a call to unite, he chose to attack President Trump.
Biden raged against Trump, even accusing him of an “unprecedented assault on democracy.” In his 13-minute speech, Biden mentioned “democracy,” which used to mean fair elections that didn’t involve any fraud.
From The Hill’s report: Biden spoke near his home in Delaware, where he noted that he and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris had won more votes than any previous presidential ticket in history, calling their victory the “clearest demonstration of the will of the American people.”
Biden noted that he won by about the same Electoral College margin as Trump did in 2016. The president at the time called it a “landslide victory.”
“Respecting the will of the people is at the heart of our democracy even when we find those results hard to accept,” Biden said. “But that’s the obligation of those who have taken on a sworn duty to uphold the Constitution.”
“In this battle for the soul of America, democracy prevailed … faith in our institutions held and the integrity of our elections remained intact,” he continued. “And now it’s time to turn the page as we’ve done throughout our history, to unite and to heal.”
Biden’s call to “unite and heal” is laughable after the social media account for his dogs posted a picture of them fighting biting President Trump’s chew toy.
